Under appropriate circumstances, we can serve as the agent under a health care power of attorney prepared for a competent individual by his or her attorney.

We can serve as agent under a medical and/or mental health care power of attorney.  Competent individuals who are planning for future incapacity may not have any local family to help them if their health fails and they can no longer fully manage their affairs on their own. In cases such as these, we will gather as much information as we can about the individual’s preferences about health care decisions such as what types of life-sustaining treatments, if any, they would like used and what type of placement they would prefer if they could no longer live alone in their homes.

We attend physician’s appointments with the individual served if necessary, help coordinate services as they become needed, and work to help maintain independence at home for as long as possible. We have a  solid track record of maintaining clients in their homes, of which we are very proud.
